Hanvon Touchpad B10 / BC10C Button Software And Screen Rotation

Hanvon Germany have released the eagerly waited Button Software,
I have install and did a quick test and it is just what i wanted,
removed both brightness buttons,
And changed one to open the Web Broswer internet exploere,
then set the 2nd button to open outlook to check my emails,

Now the biggest news here,
this software pack includes the screen rotation software,
to use you have to map it to a button on the side or have it start on startup,

Before installing you have to be using the latest Bios version 1.8

  2. install 1.8 bios version,
    install the TP-Software (button/rotation),
run the TP-Shortcut on the desktop,
in the button menu touch the brightness button and hold and then click rotation,
once done press the button you just changed to rotation and the rotation starts to work

  5. Did the Bios upgrade - verified
    Installed the key steup
    (both from German site)
Auto Screen rotate Works OK until reboot, then button setup and rotate both stop
Error box about "check daemon is running" appears

    Help please?

Also - can one button start and stop rotation process? or must I allocate one for start and one for stop?
Any way to auto start rotation by default?

  6. Reinstall the button software,
the error is being case by one of the services not running,

for the mean while with screen rotation you need to start the service every time the system boots,
to have the rotation service start and stop you need to have one button set to start and 2nd button to turn up,
you could also kill the process through device manager "rotation service",

i did try to add the rotation service to startup but after a restart some times it didnt work,
the button software is still being worked on at the moment,
and hanvon will update the software soon...

  7. I had already tried a re-install, but tried again with no luck.
    Same behaviour as before:
After install, it works and processes shows:
    HWECServer.exe SYSTEM
    HWKeyServ.exe SYSTEM
    HWScreenRotation.exe SYSTEM
    HWService.exe SYSTEM

After reboot, it still doesn't work and in Processes I get:
    HWECServer.exe SYSTEM
    HWService.exe SYSTEM
But only if I show all users processes.

Even tried "Run as Admin" for installation
Any idea on update release date?

  8. no idea on release date,
could be a month or couple of months,

    try this,
    start up the hanvon,
go into C: drive, program files, and the HWTouchpad folder,
double tap the HWScreenRotation.exe and then the HWSensor,
then start HWSensorInit and see if the X / Y / Z are displaying a log,
tap the button with the ??,
the sensor should stop displaying then rotate the screen and see if it starts to pick up

  9. Both processes start and run stable under my user.
SensorInit shows the log scrolling but the "??" button doesn't work. Close window works.
Rotation now works, but I can't use the side buttons to turn it on and off. They are mapped to Rotation, but not active (not controlling brightness either)
Trying to run Button setup prog results in "Setup button does not start!" make sure deamon is running!
If I manually start HWKeyserv.exe, the rotation on/off buttons start to work OK, but running the Button setup prog results in a crash of HWKeyserv.exe if I tap "save"
retarting HWKeyserv.exe makes buttons and rotation work again.

Don't know why these process aren't autostarting

    Thanks for helping BTW

  10. My mate wanted his hard drive changed,
so i tried again on a fresh install of windows,
only thing installed after the system started was Avast anti-virus and windows update running in the back ground,
    then ran the button/rotation software,
installed / restarted and it was working fine,

    which now makes me think,
maybe there is a software issue with another software you have installed on your touchpad????

  11. Trevor, did you have the older TWtouchpad software installed?
I was having the exact same trouble as you. Service not running, can run config and getting the daemon error. Crash on saving the button config.
I went to uninstall the touchpad software and notcied 2 entries in my uninstall programs list. Uninstalled both, rebooted, run setup as admin and it works straight away! :)

However, the service does not appear to run on startup. There is no service for the HWkeyserv.exe, and no startup entry for it.

oh, and the mouse still doesn't rotate with the screen. So if you use the touchpad while rotated the mouse moved the wrong way :(

  12. Hello,

    can someone help me.

i've done all the above...and no result.

    installed bios
    installed button software
selected the button..when pressed nothing happens..
when pressed second time, the screen tells; screen rotation function has been lanched!
i tried the SensorInit, and the lofgg shows different numbers when turned.

    what do i do now.
    thanx 4 the help!
